Nigerian musician Ruger has stirred controversy online after expressing his opinion about women who undergo Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) cosmetic procedures.

In a post on X, the artist suggested that women with BBLs often exhibit what he described as “bad character,” implying that the procedure is somehow associated with negative attitudes.

Writing in pidgin, Ruger said “When I see girl with bbl I Dey straight up think say dem get bad character. Be like the procedure Dey come with small attitude and ogba”.

His remarks quickly ignited debate across social media, with many users criticising the comment as unfair and questioning why women’s bodies continue to be a frequent subject of public judgement.
