The Ghana High Commission to the United Kingdom and Ireland has announced the Ghana–UK Investment Summit 2026, a major two-day economic forum scheduled to take place at Raffles London from June 1 to 2, 2026.

Held under the theme “Restoring Investor Confidence to Unlock Opportunities and Shared Prosperity,” the summit is expected to convene government officials, global investors, industry leaders and development finance institutions to deepen economic ties between Ghana and United Kingdom.

President John Dramani Mahama will deliver the keynote address at the summit.

The event aligns with his administration’s “Reset Agenda,” which focuses on strengthening transparency, fiscal discipline and investor confidence in Ghana’s economy.

Participants will engage in bilateral meetings, sector-focused roundtables and direct discussions with senior government officials aimed at unlocking investment opportunities.

Organisers highlight Ghana’s reputation as one of West Africa’s most stable democracies and a fast-growing emerging economy. With its young, English-speaking population and strategic location within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Ghana provides access to a regional market of over 400 million people.

Additionally, the presence of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat in Accra offers investors entry into a continental market valued at approximately $3.4 trillion.

The summit will spotlight opportunities across six high-growth sectors, including, Agribusiness, Trade and infrastructure financing, Real estate, Fintech and digital innovation, Energy and green transition, Critical minerals and carbon markets and Strong Institutional Backing.

The event is being organised in partnership with Ghana’s Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre. It is also supported by the British High Commission in Accra and the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce, reflecting strong bilateral cooperation.

Investment platform Invest Africa is also backing the summit.

Ahead of the main event, President Mahama will meet members of the Ghanaian diaspora at a town hall on May 31, 2026.

The session, hosted by Sabah Zita Benson, is expected to provide a platform for discussions on national development priorities and the role of diaspora investment.

The Ghana–UK Investment Summit 2026 is being positioned as a key step toward restoring investor confidence and strengthening economic collaboration between Ghana and its international partners.
