Popular sports journalist Kofi Asare Brako Abatey has revealed the cause of his extended hiatus from the media.
Abatey has disclosed that he had a stroke for more than three years.
Speaking on Peace FM, he said, for three and a half years, he was not able to move from one place to the other unless he had assistance.
He said, "I couldn't even sit in the wheelchair on my own unless they carried me."
Abatey revealed that his illness deteriorated to the point where he believed there was no hope left. He said that one day, as he was praying to God, he heard a voice telling him that he would recover.
Now completely healed from the stroke, Abatey gave his story and urged everyone to fervently serve God Almighty and trust in His existence.
"God is alive; if anyone tells you there's no God, tell them I say that's a lie because I've encountered him and he saved me from my sickness," he stated amid tears.
In response to host Kofi Kum Bilson's question on his life's regrets, Abatey said, "My greatest regret is that I delayed so much before accepting Jesus Christ as my savior."
He said that he would love to construct a church for God if he could accomplish anything right now.
"I want to build an altar for God and also organize church programs where I will advise young ones and preach God's power and existence to them," he said.
