Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has opened up about the challenges and excitement of playing in the English Premier League after making his debut for Leicester City.

The 20-year-old, who joined Leicester on a five-year deal from Sporting CP, had already made a name for himself in the Championship, contributing to 19 goals last season.

His Premier League debut on Monday night saw him provide a crucial assist for Jamie Vardy’s goal, helping Leicester City secure a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at the King Power Stadium.

In an interview with the club’s media team, Issahaku shared his joy at fulfilling a lifelong dream.

"It was a great feeling, and it is great to take a point out of it. I am so happy; it is a dream come true for me," he said.

Issahaku also discussed the differences between playing in the Championship and the Premier League, noting the higher intensity and pace of England's top-tier league.

"There is a difference in the Premier League because it is more intense and involves more running. You have to keep on coping with the team.

There are differences, but we keep going," he explained.

As Leicester City gears up for their next match against Fulham at Craven Cottage, Issahaku is focused on continuing his adaptation to the Premier League and building on his strong start.
