Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has promptly resumed pre-season training with Leicester City following his permanent transfer to the Premier League returnees.

The 20-year-old forward secured a five-year deal with the Foxes after an impressive loan stint last season.

Issahaku has reunited with his teammates as preparations commence under the guidance of new manager Steve Cooper.

Leicester City has lined up pre-season friendlies against Shrewsbury Town, Italian side Palermo, Germany's Augsburg, and France's RC Lens.

The young talent is anticipated to play a pivotal role for Leicester in the upcoming campaign, building on his stellar performances during his initial spell at the King Power Stadium.

Last season, Issahaku contributed significantly with 20 goals, aiding the 2016 English champions in their swift return to the top flight.

Reflecting on the promotion, Issahaku shared, “For me, [to win promotion] was amazing. It felt so good and it was one of the best moments in my career. I feel so good and I just want to keep going."

"I hope that this season goes well as well. They’re amazing teammates. Everyone at the Club was giving energy to the team and it felt so good. I feel so proud. For me, I take it as the beginning. I’m just getting started.”

Issahaku's return to Leicester City is met with high expectations as he aims to continue his impactful performances in the Premier League.
