Ghana forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will sport the number seven jersey at Leicester City in the upcoming season.

The 20-year-old secured a permanent move to the Foxes following an outstanding campaign with the newly-promoted Premier League side last season.

Issahaku signed a five-year deal and was unveiled by the club on July 16, 2024, becoming the latest addition to Leicester’s summer transfer window.

“I feel amazing. It’s so good to be back and I’m just back to focus again for next season. I feel so much motivation to be in the Premier League.

It’s something new to me. I’m going to go hard for that, with the team. I can’t wait to see [my team-mates]. I’ve missed them so much.

They are like a family now. I didn’t think I’d miss some of them, but when I went away, I was really missing them! I can’t wait to see them,” Issahaku expressed.

The winger will officially wear the number 7 jersey, replacing the number 18 shirt he wore while on loan from Sporting Lisbon last season.

His impressive performances have earned him this iconic number, reflecting his growing importance to the team.

Issahaku has joined his teammates for pre-season as preparations intensify ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Leicester City have lined up friendlies against Shrewsbury Town, Italian outfit Palermo, Augsburg of Germany, and RC Lens of France to gear up for their Premier League return.
