Former Ghanaian football legend, Abedi Ayew 'Pele,' has urged authorities to focus on hard work and proper organization to restore the fortunes of Ghana football.

This comes after a difficult period for the national teams, particularly the Black Stars, who failed to secure a victory in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), effectively eliminating them from the tournament.

Speaking to Panafricafootball, the four-time AFCON winner emphasized that success in football, whether for a team or a nation, comes down to hard work and proper planning.

"What it takes to be a great football team or a great football nation is to work hard and put your house into order to make sure that you get results.

That is all that it takes to be a good team all over the world," he stated.

With Ghana now turning its focus to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Ayew's advice serves as a call to action for the country's football authorities to rebuild and get back on track quickly.

The Black Stars hope to recover from their recent setbacks and qualify for the next World Cup.
