Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has congratulated Former Minister of foreign affairs, Hanna Serwaa Tetteh for her new appointment at the United Nations (UN).

UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, on Friday July 13, 2018 announced the appointment of Hanna Serwah Tetteh as Director-General of the United Nations (UN) Office at Nairobi, Kenya.

The former Member of Parliament for the Awutu-Senya West Constituency succeeds Ms Sahle-Work Zewde, who has been appointed as Special Representative to the African Union (AU) and Head of the United Nations Office to the African Union (UNOAU).

In a tweet to congratulate her, Mr Ablakwa wrote : “Congratulations Hanna Serwaa Tetteh on your new appointment by the UN Secretary General.

“You made Ghana proud. We celebrate you. Please count on our fervent prayers and unflinching support. We know you will be successful. Cheering you all the way.”

Ms Tetteh has served in the the Government of Ghana also as Minister of Trade and industry and lost her seat to George Andah in the 2016 general elections.
