Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has once again demonstrated his commitment to education by distributing free chop boxes and mattresses to all 2,207 first-year Senior High School (SHS) students in his constituency.

The gesture, he explained, is part of his determination to ensure that no child misses out on secondary education because of financial hardship.

The beneficiaries, drawn from all five SHS institutions in North Tongu, received the items as part of what the MP describes as a comprehensive educational support package aimed at easing the burden on parents and reducing dropout rates.

“This continues the North Tongu tradition of guaranteeing every student equal access to education without unnecessary obstacles,” Mr. Ablakwa noted.

In addition to the provision of essentials, the legislator revealed that significant infrastructure projects are currently underway across the constituency’s schools.

These include the construction of modern dining halls and dormitory blocks to cater to the growing student population.

Mr. Ablakwa expressed confidence that these interventions will not only relieve families but also help create a more conducive and equitable learning environment for all students, regardless of background.
