Chales Owusu, Head of Operations of the Forestry Commission, has called on Ex-President John Dramani Mahama to accept defeat in good faith.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been declared President-elect by the Electoral Commission following the general elections on Monday, December 7, 2020.

He polled 6,730,587 representing 51.30% while Mr. Mahama, contesting on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), lost the elections by 6,213,182 votes representing 47.35%.

However, Mr. Mahama has refused to acknowledge the election results and won't either accept defeat, claiming election fraud.

''We will not accept anything short of a declaration of the legitimate results which points to an NDC Parliamentary majority," Mr. Mahama said as he described the election results as ''fictional and flawed''.

Making his submissions during Peace FM's morning show ''Kokrokoo'', Charles Owusu asked Mr. Mahama to go to court if he has any concrete evidence against the President Nana Akufo-Addo being declared President-elect.

''Send it to court and stop inciting your supporters to hit the streets.''

He advised the former President to humbly accept the results stressing ''this is not the last elections in this country and on earth...Whether the ruling party or opposition party, let's accept it and move on".
