Actress Gladys Mensah Boaku has been charged with unlawful entry by the Police after she physically attacked Gospel artiste, Ernest Opoku at Adom FM early this week.

Popularly known as NAYAS 1, the actress was charged on Tuesday, and granted bail after Multimedia Group Limited reported her to the Nima Police Station for gaining entry to their premises illegally.

Background

A live worship session on Adom FM ended abruptly when an actress made her way into the studios of the station to attack Gospel artiste, Ernest Opoku on Monday, May 14, 2018.

The visibly angry Nayas physically attacked Opoku with a cane.

The attack follows Opoku’s admitting that he made a mistake by having an affair with the actress which resulted in a pregnancy.

He blamed the devil for the affair, and is said to have pleaded with pastors and the general public to pray for him so he will not yield to temptations.

“Mistakes are committed by human beings. I am not an angel. The Bible says the righteous shall fall seven times but God shall lift him up. Pray for me so that God continues to lift me up. The fact that I have made a mistake does not mean the Lord has forsaken me,” explained Opoku.

The actress born Gladys Mensah Boaku stormed the Multimedia-owned station to revenge the comments she found unfortunate.

Attempt by people at the station did not stop Boaku, who claimed she would only forgive Opoku if he retracts his statement, and asks for forgiveness by going down on his knees.

Opoku stayed in the building to avoid further embarrassment.

Few weeks ago, Nayas (real name Gladys Mensah Boaku) told the media Ernest had asked her to abort a three-month old pregnancy he was responsible for.

She recounted how she literally “fed” the gospel musician and gave him all he needed just for him to have ditched her because she is pregnant.
