Renowned Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang ,has expressed excitement over the steady growth of theatre in Ghana, describing it as a long-awaited dream that is finally becoming reality.

According to Mr. Anang, it was fulfilling to see years of hard work paying off.
Speaking in an interview with Doreen Avio, he said, “It's a relief because we've always yearned for this. We have worked tirelessly over the years and we are beginning to see that it's bearing fruits now. The only thing is that we still can't do it alone and that's why we have partnership with our audiences who continually patronise our projects and products,” he said.

However, he noted that sustaining the progress remains a significant challenge and emphasised the need for continued support from audiences and corporate bodies.
“We're also reaching out to the corporate spaces and all stakeholders to come on board, together because there are many things that we can do together. It’s relieving and exciting to know that the next phase will even see bigger things happening so let's all join hands and let this work,” he added.

Mr. Anang also made a passionate appeal to stakeholders in the business and creative sectors to support the arts.

“It starts with us, doesn't it? I mean how we relate to one another, how we hold each other in high esteem, is so crucial and when it starts at home then the world looks at us and say these people are one and so united front, oneness even when we have differences, we don't wash our dirty linens in public.

Let us keep together and be each other's brother's keeper so that once we have the united front, nothing can break us and so we remaining in oneness is very crucial in this sense”, he said.
