Aduana Stars are reportedly in advanced discussions with former Karela United coach Bismark Kobi Mensah to take over as their new head coach.

This comes after the club parted ways with Yaw Acheampong due to a series of disappointing results in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

Following Acheampong's dismissal, Aduana Stars were in talks with several coaching candidates, with three coaches under consideration, as confirmed by the club's spokesperson, Evans Oppong, last week.

However, it now appears that Kobi Mensah, who previously managed Great Olympics, is poised to take the reins at Aduana Stars until the end of the season.

Aduana Stars, who have won the Ghana Premier League twice, are looking to turn their fortunes around. Currently, they sit in 13th position on the league table, with just 12 points from 12 games.

The appointment of Kobi Mensah is seen as a key move to rejuvenate the team's performance and push for better results in the second half of the season.
