The Black Stars of Ghana will start their Cameroon 2021 Afcon qualifier at home  against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Thursday 14th November 2019.

This was after the initial dates of Friday 15th November was altered by Africa's football governing body CAF.

Initially, South Africa was pencilled in to play the West African country on November 15 and to host Sudan on November 19.

The return leg between Ghana and South Africa will come off next year 15th October at the Orlando pirates stadium.

The Black Stars will now play South Africa on the 14th after which three days later they will travel to the Island of Sao Tome and Principe to play the African minnows.

South Africa have been preparing frantically for the tie playing and beating Mali in a friendly game while game while the Black Stars have been dormant the last two Fifa friendly days prompting the captain of the side to question the rational behind it.

Ghana are in the same group with Sudan, South Africa and the little known Islanders Sao Tome and Principe.

There are 12 groups in total consisting of four teams each with the top two sides from each group set to qualify for the continental showpiece.

The first two rounds of group matches will be played during the international window in November.
