Afenyo-Markin Donates 100 Laptops to Newly Posted Teachers in Effutu

The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, has donated 100 brand-new laptops to newly posted teachers in the constituency under his “One Teacher, One Laptop” initiative.

The programme is designed to equip teachers with modern digital tools to enhance lesson preparation, classroom instruction and other professional responsibilities in an increasingly technology-driven educational environment.

At a presentation ceremony, 79 teachers received their laptops, while the remaining 21 beneficiaries are expected to collect theirs after reporting to their assigned schools at the beginning of the new academic year.

Speaking at the event, Afenyo-Markin said the initiative reflects his commitment to strengthening education by providing teachers with the resources they need to deliver quality instruction.

He noted that technology has become an essential part of modern education, making access to digital devices critical for lesson planning, research, classroom delivery and administrative tasks.

According to the Effutu MP, investing in teachers is an investment in the future of students and the overall development of the country’s education system.
