The Armed Forces Senior High Technical School (AFSHTS),Burma Camp, Accra, is set to commence its boarding initiatives in September 2016.

Running as a day school for several years, the Ghana Education Trust fund (GETfund) awarded the school a contract in December 2011 to start a boarding house.

But in February 2012, the project started.

The house comprises a two-storey Boys' dormitory and that of Girls'. Each with 250 capacity of students. A dining hall with 1500 ultra modern seater and a kitchen complex.

As scheduled to begin in September, the boarding house is opened to all students from first to final year.

Lt. Col. Osman S. Zuneidu, the head, in a statement indicated that although the boarding house is readily available for September, yet there are few challenges.

" We have several challenges. The dining hall is not yet done. Kitchen wares and catering equipment have not been provided. We're assured by GETfund everything will be ready by end of August." He noted.

He also added that "All other facilities are available. Courses run in the school are General Science, General Arts, Visual Arts, Home Economics and Technical programmes with Metal and Wood Work options.
