Former Ghanaian international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has openly criticized the current Black Stars technical team, calling them 'weak' and incapable of developing players following Ghana's poor performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Ghana played out a goalless draw in the first leg against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium before falling 2-0 in the second leg held in Libya.

These results have left the Black Stars' hopes of qualifying for next year’s AFCON in Morocco hanging in the balance.

In an interview with Oyerepa FM, Agyemang-Badu voiced his concerns about the team's technical staff, led by head coach Otto Addo.

"Considering the two matches we have played against Sudan in the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers, it is evident that our technical team is weak and lacks the necessary quality to transform players," he remarked.

The current coaching staff includes assistants Joseph Paintsil and Joseph Laumann, with Fatau Dauda serving as the goalkeeper coach.

Ghana now sits third in Group F and faces a tough challenge ahead.

To keep their AFCON qualification hopes alive, they must win their final matches against Niger and already-qualified Angola, while hoping that Sudan slips up in their remaining games.
