Akwaboa Junior is having a difficult day in his music career as his mentoring father who passed away in May, is being laid to rest.

The funeral is taking place at Trede in Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region.

Akwaboa may be seen sobbing excessively in photos that have been shared on social media while he is surrounded by family and friends.

The renowned Akwaboa passed away on May 16, 2023, following a short illness.

The late Kwadwo Akwaboah, popularly known as Akwaboah Senior was a Ghanaian singer, songwriter and record producer.

He was known for the popular songs ''Awerɛkyekyerɛ'', ''Hini Me'' and many others.
