Riyadh: Australia international defender Milos Degenek has joined Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal SFC from Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade, it has been announced.
The 24-year-old, who is currently on duty for his country at the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019, put pen to paper in Dubai on Saturday after agreeing a reported three-and-a-half year deal.
“I’m very happy and very honoured to be part of a big club,” Degenek said in a video released by the 2019 AFC Champions League hopefuls.
“The biggest club in Asia - I’m looking forward to seeing all the fans, meeting all my teammates.”
Degenek is now expected to play a major role in Al Hilal’s 2019 AFC Champions League campaign after the Saudi giants qualified for the competition by claiming last year’s Saudi Pro League title.✍?? #Alhilal signed the Australian international player Miloš Degenek ?? #Alhilal_Infographic pic.twitter.com/1zoqBZJwzN— AlHilal Saudi Club (@Alhilal_EN) January 12, 2019
