Former Minister of Trade and Industry and Independent Presidential Candidate, Alan Kyerematen has launched a stunning attack on former President John Agyekum Kufuor for declaring support for Vice President and NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
President Kufuor, the first NPP Candidate to win Presidential election in the 4th Republic, has declared support for Vice President Bawumia, explaining that he has the best vision and policies to move Ghana forward.
In a move which has shocked many on social media Alan Kyerematen, who angrily left the NPP to go independent after losing the party's Presidential Primaries to Dr. Bawumia, has launched attacks on President Kufuor for supporting the Vice President.
In a viral video, Alan went ballistic, referring to President Kufuor in unsavoury terms, which even shocked his interviewer.
"Kufuor is an old man and he should not provoke me to say things against him," Alan said.
"What he has done (declaring support for Bawumia) has created a big blot on his political career," he added.
In an apparent reference to the distasteful and widely condemned insults rained on President Kufuor by a communicator of the NDC, Alan suggested the former President has stooped so low.
"Have you seen how people are insulting him? Have you not hear how people are insulting him? For somebody who has had a distinguished career in politics, how do you stoop so low and involve yourself in issues like this," Alan angrily said.
"You are an old man and you should know what you're doing is not good. And you have to know and step"
When the interview drew the attention of Alan that the man he's attacking has has been President before and he could express his views on who amongst the candidates is the best candidate, Alan responded angrily again.
"Don't get me upset to say certain things. Only he (Kufuor) knows why he is saying all these things."
