23rd December 2024
Albert Adomah played a crucial role in Walsall's 2-0 triumph over Harrogate Town at Exercise Stadium in League Two's Round 21.
The victory not only brought Walsall closer in their head-to-head record with Harrogate, now trailing by three wins to four, but also gave them a valuable three points.
The match was shaped early when Nathan Lowe opened the scoring in the 34th minute with a brilliant strike from outside the box, curling past the goalkeeper.
Harrogate’s plight worsened moments later when Josh March was sent off after receiving a second yellow card, leaving the home side with 10 men.
Despite having less possession (45%), Walsall made the most of their chances, while Harrogate struggled to capitalize on their 55% of the ball.
In the 69th minute, Adomah sealed the victory by finishing off a precise cross from Charlie Lakin with a composed left-footed shot in the box.
Adomah, who now has three goals and two assists in 18 league appearances, continues to be a key asset for Walsall.
The team will look to maintain their momentum when they face Doncaster on Boxing Day.
