Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku delivered a solid performance for Fenerbahçe SK in their impressive 4-0 victory over Sivasspor in Round 12 of the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.

Djiku stepped in early in the game after a 12th-minute injury forced starting center-back Çağlar Söyüncü off the pitch.

The Ghana international immediately made his presence felt, solidifying the defense and helping Fenerbahçe maintain a clean sheet throughout the match.

The match saw Fenerbahçe take control early, with Samed Akaydin opening the scoring in the 24th minute.

The team doubled their lead in the second half with a clinical penalty from Dusan Tadic in the 54th minute.

Sofyan Amrabat extended the advantage to 3-0 in the 82nd minute, and Alex Saint-Maximin sealed the 4-0 win with a strike in the 90th minute.

Djiku’s composed defending played a key role in securing the dominant win, which also kept Fenerbahçe's hopes of clinching the Turkish Super Lig title on track.

The defender will now join the Ghana national team for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
