Ghana international Joseph Alfred Duncan was in sensational form when Fiorentina defeated Atalanta in the Italian Serie A.

The former Black Stars midfielder started and lasted 88 minutes for Fiorentina in the much-anticipated encounter at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Duncan served an assist to help his outfit secure a 3-2 home win in the week 4 fixture on Sunday.

Atalanta opened the scoring in the highly competitive clash through Teun Koopmeiners after 20 minutes into the game.

Italian Giacomo Bonaventura restored parity for the host in the 35th minute before Lucas Martinez Quarta doubled the advantage before the half-hour mark after he was set up by the Ghana international.

In a spirited performance, the visitors leveled the pegging through Nigerian international Ademola Lookman in the 53rd minute.

Fiorentina showed superiority in the match as they grabbed the winning goal through Christian Kouamé in the 76th minute.

The 30-year-old has made two appearances in the Serie A this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
