Most stars are habitual of living in front of the camera, looking gorgeous every single time, and it is easy to credit their make up artists and the glam squad. But there are many actresses in the industry who look as gorgeous without their make up - a few of them are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. While it may be convenient to credit their genes for their flawless skin, in reality they all follow one rule, all the time - that of keeping themselves hydrated.

We all know that healthy eating and regular exercise are paramount for good skin and keeping us healthy. But water works like magic for skin.

The one common question that these stars -Aishwarya, Katrina, Alia and Deepika - have been asked time and again is their skin care regime. And they all seem to swear by drinking plenty of water all day long.

Recently, someone had asked Alia Bhatt on Instagram what she does for her gorgeous skin and the reply was 'water and exercise'. Similarly, Deepika has shared in an interview that apart from following a healthy diet and getting facial clean ups, she drinks water throughout the day for her skin. She also added that a good sleep is also very important to maintain your skin health. Aishwarya also credited her habit of drinking lots of water for her healthy skin (apart from regular moisturisation). Katrina also revealed in one of her interviews that she incorporates leafy vegetables in her meals and drinks plenty of water to keep her skin young and fresh.

Well, they not only drink water when they feel super thirsty or when they are hitting the gym (to replenish the lost fluid) but also throughout the day. In fact a recent study by the Mayo Clinic found out that water plays a very important role in skin health. We all know water flushes out toxins from the body and keep our insides as well as outside clean and healthy.

Now coming to the question of how much water one should drink. According to experts, the adequate daily fluid intake for women is close to 2.7 liters, however, it may vary for some. So drink up for a gorgeous skin!
