The events, which is being organised by the African Center for Economic Transformation(ACET), is the  2nd to be held after the maiden edition in 2016.

The ATF, which  is the leading event on economic transformation in Africa, brings together leading figures from Africa’s public and private sectors to discuss policies and partnerships that can drive sustainable growth and investment across the continent.

This year’s Forum will also see the participation of GE Africa CEO Jay Ireland, UN Economic Commission for Africa Executive Secretary Dr. Vera Songwe, and Mastercard Foundation CEO Reeta Roy.

Key themes include modernizing manufacturing and agriculture; harnessing Africa’s extractive sector; fostering technological innovation; improving skills and creating jobs; tackling climate change; and strengthening regional integration.

According to the president of ACET  Dr. K.Y. Amoako, Tuesda'ys event at Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel seeks to bring a practical approach and policies that can drive Africa's "economies forward over the next decade".

“These are exciting times. Too often African economies have missed opportunities to get ahead because they have not worked together or learned from each other," he said.

"That is changing now, and this Forum is a driving force. It’s a unique event which aims to deliver practical, progressive policies that can drive our economies forward over the next decade."

Established in 2008, the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) is an economic policy institute supporting Africa’s long-term growth through transformation.
