Popular Ghanaian lawyer Amanda Clinton is keeping her cards close to her chest ahead of the upcoming Ghana Football Association presidential election.

Ms Clinton, who gained popularity after strongly backing GFA in the aftermath of Anas expose, is rumored to be interested in top seat  after she was reported to have picked up nomination form on Monday.

However, the astute lawyer has refused to confirm nor deny the rumor and insists she is awaiting till after vetting before declaring her intentions.

“I happened to be at the Ghana Bar Association which happened to be near-by the GFA Secretariat. And I had to pick up something at the GFA” she said in an interview with Nhyira FM.

“I cannot confirm or deny picking a nomination form at the GFA”But I think everybody is waiting for the vetting stage to announce whether they will go forward”.

“I cannot say what it’s about but after the vetting process everybody will know whether am contesting or otherwise. But am affiliated to some of the oldest clubs in Ghana”, she added.

The vetting of qualified candidates will take place from September 26 to October 1 with the election slated for October 27, 2019.
