The Amansie South District Assembly in the Ashanti Region has once again assisted the relatives of the four-member family who perished in a recent fire outbreak at the Manso-Aponapon.

The family of four, comprising a 48-year-old Kofi Owusu and his pregnant wife, 32-year-old Esther Kwabena as well as their two children, nine-year-old Sarah Owusu and five-year-old Kwadwo Awuah were burnt beyond recognition after a devastating fire ravaged their house.

A team of government officials led by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simeon Osei Mensah and District Chief Executive (DCE) of Amansie South Assembly, Hon. Clement Opoku Gyamfi over the weekend stormed the community to sympathize and also donate to support the family towards the burial and funeral of their late relatives.

Prior to this donation, the Assembly had already presented some relief items to the victim's family last week.

The Regional Coordinating Council and the Assembly presented cartons of assorted drinks, cash for the hiring of canopy and chairs for the burial as well as footing the hospital bills for the surviving victims.

The funeral is expected to take place on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Manso-Aponapon.
