On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Amenfi West Municipality, Hon. Lord Nana Tandoh led a team to access the spate of work on the Wassa Dunkwa Polyclinic which is currently under construction.

The team led by Hon. Lord Tandoh comprised of officials from the Ministry of Health, Municipal Health Director, the media and the contractor for the project.

The site engineer together with his team took the team round the facility and briefed them on the progress of work and further assured the delegation of their readiness to officially hand over the facility to the Assembly between July and August this year.

In a brief remarks, the MCE expressed his utmost satisfaction on the spate of work done so far.

He commended the contractor, Vamed Engineering, for delivering on the mandate after awarding him the contract some two years ago.

According to the MCE, the yet to be commissioned facility forms part of President Akufo-Addo's vision to improve and expand the health care system in Ghana for the benefit of all.

He hinted that, the project when completed will lessen the pressure on the Catholic Hospital in Asankrangua since it will be serving all the communities the Wassa Dunkwa enclave.

He assured the officials from the Health Ministry of his unflinching commitment to ensure that the facility is highly maintained after its commissioning.
