Ghanaian international Andre Ayew voiced his disappointment after Le Havre’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Stade Rennes in their Ligue 1 clash at Roazhon Park on Friday.

Ayew, who recently re-signed with Le Havre, played the entire match, which ended with Rennes taking all three points.

Both teams battled to a scoreless draw in the first half, but Rennes secured the win in the 54th minute when Andres Gomez found the back of the net.

After the match, Ayew expressed his feelings on Instagram, writing, “A top mentality, our supporters. Difficult not to take a point. Let’s keep going.”

This appearance marks Ayew's second since returning to Le Havre, where he had previously been a standout.

The 34-year-old rejoined the club in early October on a one-year contract, extending his stay until the summer of 2025.

In the same match, Ayew’s compatriot Alidu Seidu was forced off in the 78th minute due to an injury.
