Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has earned a spot in the English Premier League Team of the Week following his standout performance in Bournemouth's 2-1 win over Manchester City at Vitality Park.
The 24-year-old scored and was named Man of the Match as the Cherries ended the champions’ unbeaten run in the league this season.
Semenyo’s impressive pace and footwork troubled City’s defense, particularly Kyle Walker, who struggled to keep up with the Ghanaian's relentless attacks down the right flank.
Semenyo was joined by Bournemouth teammates Adam Smith and Lewis Cook in Troy Deeney's BBC Team of the Week for Matchweek 10.
Other notable selections include Nottingham Forest's Nigerian full-back Ola Aina, former Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, now with Tottenham, and Newcastle United's Anthony Gordon.
Southampton’s Aaron Ramsdale and Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Tottenham’s Radu Dragusin, Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo, and Wolves’ Joao Gomes also made the lineup.
Semenyo has now scored four goals in ten Premier League appearances this season, continuing his strong form and increasing his impact for Bournemouth.
