Bournemouth and Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has taken a major step in his personal life, proposing to his girlfriend Jordeen Buckley in a romantic setting after leaving the Black Stars camp due to injury.

The 25-year-old, who captained Ghana in their 2-0 defeat to Japan last Friday, was ruled out of the team’s second friendly against South Korea after sustaining an anterior talofibular ligament injury in his left ankle. With his recovery underway, Semenyo was permitted to exit camp — and used the moment to create a lifelong memory.

The London-based model shared glimpses of the elegant proposal on Instagram, proudly displaying her engagement ring and celebrating the milestone with a heartfelt caption:
“Forever has a nice ring to it-  Song of Solomon 3:4 – I have found the one whom my soul loves.”

Semenyo’s gesture comes at a pivotal time in his career, as he continues to recover and prepare for Ghana’s 2026 World Cup campaign. His leadership and form remain vital to Otto Addo’s plans, but for now, the striker is savoring a personal victory off the pitch.
