Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah was the team to win the 2017 Cup of Nations to apiece the fuming football lovers in the country.

The Black Stars have lost its support from Ghanaian football fans following recent poor results.

Avram Grant and his team have failed to secure a win in their last five matches.

A defeat to Egypt has further raised fears of on the team missing out on the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Appiah, who featured in two Cup of Nations and two FIFA World Cups for Ghana has urged the team to clinch the ultimate in Gabon to bring back the love of Ghanaians.

“I think may Ghanaians are not happy with the team and that is also a major factor, they have refused to support the team and it is really having an impact on them,” he told Ghana Sports Newspaper.

“For now I think the only thing to win back the love of Ghanaians is to win the Cup of Nations in Gabon.

“When they are able to win it, Ghanaians will support them again and that will help them in the remaining matches of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.”

Ghana have been drawn together Egypt, Mali and Uganda for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
