Arsenal have officially confirmed that contract talks are ongoing with Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, whose current deal expires on June 30, 2025.

The announcement comes amid widespread speculation over his future, with the club poised for a significant reshuffle ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Partey, 31, enjoyed one of his best campaigns since arriving from Atlético Madrid in 2020, making a career-high 52 appearances across all competitions.

He contributed four goals and three assists, becoming a central figure in Mikel Arteta’s midfield during Arsenal’s pursuit of domestic and European honours.

In a statement published with their retained list, the club confirmed:
“The following players’ contracts also expire on June 30, 2025. Discussions are ongoing, and once matters are finalised between all parties, we will communicate in due course.

Chloe Kelly, Thomas Partey, Michal Rosiak.”

The Gunners also revealed the departure of several senior players whose contracts will not be renewed.

Notable names exiting the Emirates include Raheem Sterling, Kieran Tierney, Neto, and Jorginho—players who have had varying levels of impact in recent seasons.

With Arteta aiming to strengthen his squad for another title push and an improved UEFA Champions League showing, Partey’s future remains a key issue for Arsenal’s summer business.
