There was no place for Ghana and Arsenal midfield lynchpin Thomas Parety as the EA Sports partners of the English Premier League unveiled their nominees for the EA Sports team of the season.

Partey has been a key figure in the Arsenal team this campaign as he is leading their title charge from midfield but has been overlooked in the team of the season.

Club captain Martin Odegaard is the only member from the Arsenal midfield in the nominees which is a bit harsh on Thomas Partey who has been instrumental for the Gunners from the engine room.

Meanwhile, the Ghanaian midfielder pulled off a stinker in their 2-2 drawn game against West Ham which cut their lead at the summit of the league to just four points having played a game more than second-placed Man City.

Partey gave out the ball that resulted in West Ham's penalty in the first half which was converted by Said Benrahma while he also earned a yellow card for a foul.

The Ghanaian midfielder struggled last Sunday and was hooked off at the interval to be replaced by Jorginho.

Thomas Partey has played 26 matches for Arsenal this season scoring three goals in the process as the Gunners look to win their first Premier League title in about 20 years.
