Ghana's Asamoah Gyan could not finish his side's crunch game in the Indian Super League against second placed side ATK on Saturday.

The former Black Stars captain sustained an injury as early as the 9th minute of the first half after clashing with the ATK goalie.

Gyan was cleanly sent through but he pushed the ball at speed that the goalie had a chance so they clashed with Gyan taking a heavy whack in his thigh.

In a game which his team lost heavily by three goals to nil, Gyan could only watch from the treatment room as he was writhing in pain.

The 34 year old marksman will have to undergo further test to diagnose the extent of the damage done and how long If at all he will be sidelined.

Gyan has scored three goals in six games for his side in the Indian Super League since joining some three months ago.
