Kumasi Asante Kotoko has strengthened their squad ahead of the upcoming season with the acquisition of defender Joseph Ablorh from Guinea's Hafia FC on a two-year deal.

Asante Kotoko confirmed the signing of Joseph Ablorh through an official statement released on Wednesday.

The club expressed their delight in securing the services of the 26-year-old defender following a successful medical examination in Accra.

"Joseph Ablorh joins Asante Kotoko on a two-year contract," the statement read, highlighting his impressive attributes. "He was a standout player at Hafia FC, known for his strong tackling, aerial prowess, and leadership qualities."

Ablorh's performances during the 2020/2021 Guinean top-flight season earned him recognition in the Team of the Season, underscoring his reliability and significant impact on the field.

Asante Kotoko's decision to sign Joseph Ablorh comes as part of their strategy to reinforce the squad after the departure of over 20 players at the end of the previous season.
