Asante Kotoko is set to appoint a new Technical Director as part of the club’s ongoing restructuring, following recent changes announced by the club's Interim Management Committee (IMC).
This shift comes after Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum resigned from his position on the IMC, a move that reportedly received approval from the club's life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Manhyia Palace.
The reorganization aims to allow Dr. Ogum to focus exclusively on his role as head coach, providing him with the clarity to lead the team towards its competitive goals.
To further strengthen the technical staff and improve the team’s performance, Kotoko has decided to recruit a new Technical Director.
This strategic appointment is viewed as essential for boosting the club’s prospects, particularly as they aim to recover from a challenging start to the current Ghana Premier League season.
Despite criticism over a five-game winless streak, Kotoko secured a vital 2-0 victory over Aduana Stars at Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.
With 18 points from 12 matches, the Porcupine Warriors are currently in 7th place in the league standings.
The team is now preparing for a crucial Matchday 13 clash against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak, scheduled for Sunday.
