Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has hailed the club’s newest recruit, goalkeeper Mohammed Camara, as a significant asset to the team.
Camara, who has joined the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year contract from Soar Academy, is the club’s tenth signing of the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper is recognized for his agility, quick reflexes, and commanding presence in goal.
His arrival is seen as a key move in bolstering Kotoko’s squad ahead of the new season.
Ogum praised Camara’s attributes and expressed confidence in his impact on the team. “Mohammed Camara is an outstanding goalkeeper with incredible talent.
His agility, quick reflexes, and ability to command his area make him a perfect fit for our team. He comes highly recommended, and we are confident he will be a great asset to our club,” Ogum said.
The head coach also noted the positive impression Camara has made, highlighting the strong culture and unity at Kotoko.
“Having him speak so positively about our club is a testament to the strong culture and unity we have here. We are excited to have him join us and believe that with him, Frederick (Asare), and Fatao, we have a very solid goalkeeping group,” Ogum added.
Camara, who made 26 appearances for Soar Academy last season, brings both talent and experience to Kotoko’s squad.
His signing is part of a broader strategy by the club to strengthen their roster after a disappointing sixth-place finish in the previous Ghana Premier League season.
Asante Kotoko is now focused on integrating their new signings and preparing for a competitive season ahead. The club’s efforts to reinforce their squad reflect their ambition to achieve greater success in the upcoming campaign.
