The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has purchased 200 match tickets to be distributed free of charge to fans ahead of Sunday’s Ghana Premier League Super Clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
The tickets, covering the Popular Stand and Centre Line sections, will be handed out to supporters who arrive early at the gates, with distribution scheduled to take place at Heroes Park at 15:00 GMT on Sunday.
In a statement, Dr Amoakohene encouraged fans to take advantage of the initiative.
“I have provided 200 Popular Stand & Centre Line tickets to be given free to fans who arrive early at the gates on Sunday. Ticket distribution comes off at Heroes Park on Sunday at 3PM.
“It’s Kotoko vs Hearts of Oak. Don’t miss out! 100 more will be given out to fans on the blue app,” he added.
The gesture is expected to boost attendance at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, where Ghana’s two most decorated clubs will renew their historic rivalry.
The Kotoko-Hearts fixture remains the most anticipated game on the domestic calendar, often drawing large crowds and intense passion from supporters on both sides.
With pride and crucial league points at stake, Sunday’s encounter promises another electric atmosphere and for at least 200 fans, entry to the spectacle will come as a welcome bonus.
