Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold will come up against Akonangui in the preliminary stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Miners will play the first leg away at Equatorial Guinea on the weekend of (9-11th August), before returning to Obuasi for the reverse fixture on the weekend of (23-25th August).

Ashgold secured the ticket to represent Ghana at this year’s Confederations Cup after winning the GFA Normalization Committee Tier II Special Cup.

They will be hoping to reach the group stage which is also referred to as the money zone.
