Presidential hopeful of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Stephen Atubiga has launched another scathing tirade on former President John Dramani Mahama for seeking a second chance with the NDC.

A fortnight ago, Mr. Atubiga took a swipe at the former President – claiming that presidency is not like having sexual intercourse for him [Mahama] to demand a “second round”.

The vociferous Party hopeful believes since he [Mahama] has tasted the presidency, he should give other capable people in the NDC the opportunity to contribute to national development.

Speaking on Happy FM‘s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’show, he stated that presidency is like using condom, which cannot be used again after one round of sex.

“Governance is like Kiss condom, if you use it once, that’s it. You can’t use it again,” Mr. Atubiga stated on Happy FM.

Former President John Mahama on Thursday, August 23, picked his nomination forms to contest the 2020 presidential elections of the NDC.

Ahead of his declaration, Mahama on Wednesday called on the founder of the NDC at his office in Accra.

Among those who have indicated their interest to lead the party are former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance

Authority (NHIA), Sylvester Mensah, Dr. Ekow Spio Garbah, a former Trade and Industry, former Vice Chancellor of the University for Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Prof. Joshua Alabi, Elikplim Agbemava and second deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin.
