The African Union Commission on Peace and Security has commended the Akufo-Addo administration for the proper management of affairs of the nation.

This commendation was contained in a recent research conducted by the commission on peace and security in Africa.

The report assessed the country’s structural vulnerability resilience.

It was revealed when the Commissioner for Peace and Security at the African Union (AU), Ambassador Smail Chergui, together with his team called on the President to present a copy of the report.

Chergui said from the assessment he realised that the country was an example of stability and democracy.

He later advised the president and members of his government to identify their shortcomings and make amends accordingly.

“Through this exercise, we found out that Ghana is really a beacon of stability and democracy. The policies in this country under your leadership, Mr. President, give confidence to the social economic space here”, he stressed

In response, the Akufo- Addo committed to doing the best he can as the leader of the state to position the country at its right place.

“It’s come to my turn; we continue to believe that Ghana’s national interest is inextricably linked to this continental agenda; so whatever we can do always to push forward the claims of the continent, we believe it is in our interest to do so”, he added.

He therefore promised to implement the findings of the report
