Ghanaian defender Abdul Baba Rahman delivered a dramatic late winner as PAOK FC secured a crucial 2-1 away victory against Asteras Tripolis in the Greek Super League on Sunday evening.

The match, played at the Theodoros Kolokotronis Stadium, saw Rahman make an instant impact after coming on as a substitute in the second half, keeping PAOK’s title ambitions alive.

The first half was evenly contested, with both sides demonstrating strength in midfield but failing to create clear-cut chances, resulting in a goalless stalemate at the break.

Early in the second half, Federico Macheda gave the home side the lead with a superb strike in the 50th minute. However, PAOK responded through Kiril Despodov, who leveled the game in the 68th minute.

Rahman was introduced in the 75th minute, replacing Joan Sastre, and wasted no time making his mark.

In the 85th minute, he capitalized on an opportunity to secure all three points for the Black and White, showcasing his composure and attacking prowess.
