The Vice-President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has commissioned an ultra-modern office complex at Akomadan in the Ashanti Region to characterized the administrative work of the Offinso North District Assembly.

At a sod-cutting ceremony, the Veep asked the Assembly to take good care of the newly-constructed edifice to help serve the purpose for which it was built.

Dr. Bawumia said the government-sponsored project is designed to also coordinate and enhance activities of the decentralized departments under the Assembly.

In his address that, Mr. Nadine said the government will work closely with the traditional authorities in the area in order to bring development to the people in Offinso North.

The Vice President asked the constituents to vote massively for the Offinso North NPP MP, Hon Augustine Collins Ntim and support the government in its development agenda for the country.

The Vice President inspected the ongoing construction of Afrancho town roads and the construction of a NHIS office in Afrancho.

He again commissioned a girl's dormitory block and a six-unit classroom block at Nkenkaasu Senior High School.

Dr. Bawunia later inspected roads and ongoing electricity extension at Nkenkaasu Senior High School.

The Vice President tauted the Deputy Local Government Minister, Hon. Collins Ntim for executing massive projects in the district.

On his part, Dr. Nana Kwaku Duah, Nifahene of the Offinso Traditional Area, appealed to the government to up efforts at improving the road network at the District to open up the area for investment and farming activities.

The Nifahene, who spoke on behalf of the Paramount Chief appealed to Dr. Bawumia to construct district hospital for Offinso North to improve healthcare in the Area.

The Chief later tasked the government to also extend its infrastructural development to the mother constituency, Offinso South.
