The Begoro Traditional Council has officially announced the death of Begorohene and Fanteakwahene, Daasebre Awuah Kotoko ll.

Daasebre, who was also the Okyeman Benkumhene, died Tuesday 19th March, 2019 peacefully in his palace.

After the painful incident, a delegation led by Akyeame from Begoro went to inform Okyemanwura Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II.

All the customary rites were performed at Atoase, the forecourt of Ofori Panin Fie in accordance with Okyeman customs and tradition when a divisional overlord passes on.

Daasebre was known in private life as Odehyie Edward Agyarko Amfo.
He was born on 9th December, 1936 to Opanin Daniel George Amfo and Odehyie Yaa Atua Amfo.

Daasebre was a Chartered Accountant who worked with Ghana Cocoa Marketing Board until his retirement.

Daasebre became overlord in Begoro as well as Okyeman Benkum Division in 1985 and ruled to 2019, which is 34 years reign.

Being Begorohene as well as Okyeman Benkumhene, Daasebre was the head of three senior palanquin chiefs, 34 palanquin chiefs and 163 subchiefs.
