Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori is of huge interest to a yet to be named Belgian Club.

The captain for South African club Maritzburg United has been in fine form ever since his move and this has prompted the interest.

According to Maritzburg's  chairman Farook Kadodia there is huge interest from the Ghana goal keeper and a possible sale in the winter transfer window cannot be ruled out.

“There’s some interest from Belgium for Ofori. But first I need to clarify this. Ofori is not in the last year of his contract. He still has one more year left at the club,” Kadodia emphasized on Monday.

“We would love to place Ofori into a good team not at the team where his career won’t go far,” Kadodia said.

“The were some talks with the team from Belgium, but nothing has been pursued as yet. If it happens, it will be the end of the season,” he added.

The former Wa All Stars shot stopper has been an ever present for the Black Stars the last four years and is a veteran of two nations cup tournament.

Richard Ofori ia amongplayers invited for the Afcon double header and will be in post when Ghana face the country where he plies his trade on Thursday.
