Belgian-born Ghanaian midfielder Elton Yeboah has completed a permanent move to Lierse SK, joining the Challenger Pro League side from KV Mechelen on transfer deadline day.

The 22-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, ending his time at Mechelen as he looks for a fresh start and more regular opportunities in Belgium’s second tier.

Yeboah, who is eligible to represent Ghana, developed through the Belgian system and is known for his energy in midfield and ability to link play between defence and attack.

Lierse SK moved quickly to secure his signature before the window closed, adding depth and experience to their squad as they push through the remainder of the season.

For Yeboah, the move offers a chance to relaunch his career in familiar surroundings, with the midfielder hoping the change of scenery will allow him to rediscover his best form and play a central role at his new club.
