Belgian-born of Ghanaian descent, Maxim Addo Zeolevoet has moved from  fourth-tier side KRC Gent tobjoin Pro League outfit, KV Mechelen. The 25-year old made the move after a contract expiration with Gent as the 2024-2025 season drew to a close. He made 19 appearances for Gent last season and found the back of the net on four occasions.

The pacey winger has caught eyes of so many top clubs in the top flight after a stupendous outing in the Belgium fourth-tier last season and finally had KV Mechelen signing him on a free transfer to beef up their squad for the upcoming season. Addo Zeolevoet joined Gent in January 2024 after having stints with Gibraltar side, St Joseph FC and Belgium club, VW Hamme where he featured for both the youth side and the senior side.

The 25-year old winger could operate on both areas of the flanks, could also be deployed as a centre forward and second striker- ultimately, an all-round versatile player in the attacking set-up.

He joins a host of Ghanaian players in the Belgian top flight with the likes of Majeed Ashimeru of Anderlecht, Lawrence Agyekum and Abu Francis of Cercle Brugge, Mohammed Fuseini who lifted the league title with Royal Union St Gilloise and many others.
