Berekum Chelsea head coach Samuel Boadu has acknowledged the difficulty of the match despite the 1-1 draw against Accra Lions in their Ghana Premier League fixture on Sunday.

Playing at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, the match saw Accra Lions take the lead through Ali Mohammed before Berekum Chelsea's Stephen Amonkona equalized just three minutes later.

In his post-match comments, Boadu expressed his disappointment over the challenges his team faced in securing a point against a youthful and energetic Accra Lions side.

"It was a very difficult game. Accra Lions have young players who are energetic, and they possess a strong technical team," he stated.

Boadu highlighted the improvements made by his squad compared to previous encounters, noting that last season, Accra Lions had defeated Berekum Chelsea 5-0 at Sogakope.

"Coming into this game, we prepared well, and I told the players to focus on playing as a team," he added.

Currently sitting 5th in the league standings with 10 points, Berekum Chelsea will be looking to secure all three points when they host struggling Legon Cities in their Matchday 7 fixture.
