Some New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth in the Berekum West Constituency in the Bono Region have called for the removal of the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Isaac Osei.

They have accused him of campaigning against the Member of Parliament for the area, Kwaku Agyenim Boateng.

The NPP youth, who ere clad in party attire and red armbands, marched through the principal streets of Jinijini, the capital of the Berekum West District, amidst chanting to register their grievances.

The convenor of the protesting NPP youth, Simon Miller said: “all the party members are gathered here with our petition to be presented to the party chairman.”

“We want him to it to the regional Chairman, Chief of Staff, Local Government Minister that we do not want our DCE again. His work has come to an end, he is doing so many things against us, he is behind the Shirt and blouse that took place here. If we had joked the MP would have lost.”

“We are telling the Chairman to inform the regional and national that we cannot work with Honorable Isaac Osei, Berekum West DCE, and all local government appointees. DCE you should be helping the MP in his campaign but you were paying losing bonus and taking peoples’ ID cards,” he added.
